Indications

Procedure

• excision of a segment of the vas deferens
• California state law requires that any patient wishing a vasectomy must 1st attend an informational class prior to the procedure

Complications

• 5 year risk of pregnancy after vasectomy is about 1% [3]
• either no association or weak association between vascetomy &

• prostate cancer
• testicular cancer [4]
