Etiology

• autoantibody of Graves' disease

Indications

• suspected Graves disease
• suspected euthyroid Graves ophthalmopathy
• pregnancy complicated by Graves disease
• atypical fluctuating hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism

Clinical-significance

• antibody stimulating TSH receptors in thyroid, autonomous with regard to negative feedback from T3, T4
