Contraindications

• no clinical benefit for acute heart failure

Dosage

• 2.5 mg IV over 30 minutes, then 1 mg/ hr IV for 24-72 hours

Adverse-effects

• hypotension

Mechanism-of-action

• endothelin receptor 1 & endothelin receptor 2 antagonist
• signficant hemodynamic improvements with tezosentan did not translate to improved clinical outcomes [2]
