Introduction

• Tradename: Anturane.

Indications

• gout

Dosage

• Gout: 100-200 mg PO BID

• Tabs: 100 & 200 mg.

Adverse-effects

• common (> 10%)

• nausea/vomiting, epigastric pain

• less common (1-10%)

• dermatitis, rash

• uncommon (< 1%)

• flushing, dizziness, headache, rash, anemia, leukopenia, increased bleeding time (decreased platelet aggregation), hepatic necrosis, urinary frequency, uric acid stones, nephrotic syndrome
