- One of the nerves supplying the viscera. There are 3 groups of splanchnic nerves:
- cardiopulmonary ( postsynaptic, sympathetic)
- abdominopelvic ( presynaptic, sympathetic)
- pelvic ( presynaptic, parasympathetic)
