Introduction

• sulfur 2%/ salicylic acid 2%

Indications

• seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp
• psoriasis of the scalp
• dandruff

Dosage

• massage into wet hair to form lather
• allow to sit for 5 minutes
• repeat once
• rinse thoroughly

• Shampoo: 7 oz.

Adverse-effects

• irritation of the skin, eyes & respiratory tract
• staining of clothing & jewelry

Mechanism-of-action

• salicylic acid: keratolytic & antiseptic
• sulfur: keratolytic, weak antifungal & antibacterial agent
