Introduction
- Recurrent atelectasis associated with isolated bronchiectasis of the right middle lobe of the lung.
Etiology
- compression of right middle lobe by lymph nodes
- acute angle of right middle lobe origin
- narrow opening of bronchus
- long bronchus
- lack of collateral ventilation
Clinical-manifestations
- recurrent bronchiectasis & atelectasis of right middle lobe
- many patients are asymptomatic
