• cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase with a dual- specificity for the second messengers cAMP & cGMP
• may play a role in fat metabolism
  

• nucleoside 3',5'-cyclic phosphate + H2O = nucleoside 5'- phosphate
  
• Cofactor:

• binds 2 divalent metal cations per subunit
• site 1 may preferentially bind Zn+2
• site 2 has a preference for Mg+2 &/or Mn+2
