Indications
- vision screening for all children 3-5 years of age at least once to detect amblyopia or its risk factors ( USPSTF)
- indications for screening not well established for asymptomatic adults
- recommends:
- complete screening examination every 2-5 years for persons > 40 years
- screening for presbyopia, glaucoma
- high risk individuals (dilated exam every 1-2 years)
