- serum creatinine periodically
- high risk patients, check weekly for the 1st several weeks
- complete blood count ( CBC) periodically
- liver function tests
- periodically in all patients
- within 4-8 weeks of initiation in ptiens taking diclofenac
- within 8 weeks in patients with pre-existing liver disease
