Introduction

• Tradename: Xopenex. L- enantiomer of albuterol

Indications

• prevention & treatment of bronchospasm in adults & adolescents > 12 years of age

• Xopenex HFA: metered dose inhaler

Mechanism-of-action

• selective beta-2 adrenergic agonist
• does not work any better than albuterol [3,4]
