Indications

• metastatic melanoma

Dosage

• intravenous administration
• single dose up to 20 mg/kg
• also given in multiple doses up to 10 mg/kg

Pharmacokinetics

• half-life of ipilimumab is 359 hours Adverse reactions:
• autoimmune reactions are common

• colitis, diarrhea, endocrine dysfunction, fatigue, skin rash.

• severe or fatal reactions in 13%

Mechanism-of-action

• blocks cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 ( CTLA4)
