Indications

• symptomatic treatment of acute attacks of hereditary angioedema ( FDA-approved Aug 2011)

Dosage

• prefilled syringe, 3 mL (30 mg), SQ, preferably abdomen
• a 2nd injection may be given 6 hours after the 1st
• maximum: 3 injections/day

Mechanism-of-action

• specific antagonist of bradykinin B2 receptors
