Function

• endoglycosidase
• cell surface & extracellular matrix-degrading enzyme
• cleaves heparan sulfate proteoglycans ( HSPGs) into heparan sulfate side chains & core proteoglycans
• implicated in the extravasation of leukocytes & tumor cells
• contribution to angiogenesis

• belongs to the glycosyl hydrolase 79 family
