Introduction
- Development of immature T-cell precursors ( thymocytes) to CD4 helper T-cells correlates with T-cell receptor specificity for major histocompatibility complex class 2 molecules.
- ZNF67 expression is necessary & sufficient for commitment of CD4+ cell lineage.
- Normally 60% of circulating lymphocytes.
- Normal range: 1000-2300/ uL in peripheral blood.
- Pool size: 2 x 10E11
- 1/2 life 156 days
- Cytokines produced by both Th1 & Th2 T-helper cells
