Introduction

• The breakage of both strands of DNA ( DNA double strand breaks) followed by rejoining of the fragments in new combinations.

• DNA recombination is associated with DNA double strand break repair. It can occur during meiosis & during lymphocyte maturation, i.e. in the process of generating antibody & T-cell diversity.
