Introduction

• Tradename: Florone, Maxiflor.

Indications

• short-term treatment of inflammation & pruritis secondary to severe steroid-responsive dermatoses

• Topical: apply 0.05% cream/ointment sparingly BID/ TID. Very high potency (0.05%), (15, 30, 60 g).

Adverse-effects

• uncommon (< 1%)

• burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acne, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, skin maceration, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, miliaria
  

• drug adverse effects of glucocorticoids
• drug adverse effects of immunosuppressive agents
