Introduction

• Air-filled concha in the nose. Normal variant.

Epidemiology

• 50% of population

Pathology

• a large concha bullosa may obstruct the opening of an adjacent paranasal sinus
• may be associated with a deviated nasal septum

Management

• endoscopic resection for symptomatic sinus obstruction
