Introduction
- In embryology:
- the individual produced by grafting of an embryonic part of one organism onto the embryo of another
- In biochemistry:
- a fusion protein in which 2 different proteins are linked via peptide bonds, usually through genetic engineering
- fusion of 2 genes not normally fused via chromosomal translocation
- p160bcr gene with c-abl in the Philadelphia chromosome associated with chronic myelogenous leukemia ( CML)
