Introduction
- Maneuver to enhance parasympathetic tone, causing vasodilation, slowing of the heart, & fall of blood pressure. Contraindicated in:
- elderly
- patients with carotid bruits
- bilateral carotid sinus massage should never be performed
- See vagal maneuver
