Introduction

• Tradenames: Mentax, Lotrimin Ultra.

Indications

• fungal infections of the skin

• tinea pedis ( athlete's foot)
• tinea corporis ( ringworm of the body)
• tinea cruris ( jock itch)

Contraindications

• pregnancy-category B
• safety in lactation ?

Dosage

• 1% cream to area QD

Mechanism-of-action

• fungicidal
• remains active in the skin for at least a week after cessation of use [3]
