Introduction

• Etiologic agent of cat scratch disease.

Epidemiology

• spread by the fleas of cats or bites or scratches of cats
• cases have been reported from exposure to dogs & monkeys

Clinical-manifestations

• incubation period: 3-38 days
• HIV patients

• bacillary angiomatosis
• peliosis hepatis
• bacteremia
• endocarditis

• cat scratch disease
