• tubulointerstitial nephritis

Clinical-significance

• associated with:

• anti-glomerular basement membrane [GBM] disease

• Goodpasture's syndrome (> 90% sensitivity & specificity)

• tubulointerstitial nephritis

• the antigen is an epitope from type 4 collagen found in alveolar & glomerular basement membranes

• indirect immunofluorescence
