Introduction

• Tradename: Aclovate. ( alclometasone dipropionate)

Indications

• topical treatment of inflammatory dermatoses

Dosage

• apply thin film to affected area BID- TID

• Cream: 0.05% (15 g, 45 g)
• Ointment: 0.05% (15 g, 45 g)

Adverse-effects

• not common (1-10%)

• itching, erythema, dryness, papular rashes, burning, irritation

• uncommon (< 1%)

• hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, maceration of skin, skin atrophy, striae, miliaria
  
• drug adverse effects of glucocorticoids
• drug adverse effects of immunosuppressive agents
